There are many types of visual content. You can create photos, images, infographics, videos, or presentations. Each type of content has its own advantages and will target a different audience.
- Photos: They are easy to prepare. They can also show your customers what is going on in your business. It can help show them that there is more to you and your business than just the business. They only keep the viewers’ attention for a few seconds though.
- Images: Images with text take some time to prepare to make sure that you have the correct words. They will keep the viewers’ attention longer than a photo since there is some reading involved. Keep the wording short.
- Infographics: Have a lot of data but it is presented as a graphic instead of a paper or text. Customers prefer to quickly read through an infographic for brief information compared to a long paper. Infographics take some time to prepare since you need to do research and then find the best way to present the findings. Infographics should be used when your audience wants to know facts about your business or industry.
- Presentations: Slideshows take some time to prepare but can be used multiple times. You can use the presentation in a meeting and then post it on a website, blog, or social media. A presentation can help show your audience that you are knowledgeable in a particular field.
- Videos: They take time to create a great video. You also need to have the correct software. They are a great way to tell a story though. If they are created well you will keep the viewers’ attention throughout the video clip which is longer than a photo, image, or infographic.
